The faculty has more than 500 full-time students. There are 54 university teachers, including: 2 Doctors of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, 3 doctors of Technical Sciences, 6 professors, 21 teachers have Candidate degrees and 17 associate professor academic titles.

– Engineering Technology, Metal-cutting Machines and Tools (mechanic engineer/ bachelor – 4 years)
– Thermal Power Engineering and Heat Engineering (power engineer / Master Degree – 5 years)

The Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics began its activities on February 1, 2017 by renaming the Faculty of Mechanics and Technology, whose year of organization is considered to be 1969.

The Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics has 4 graduate departments:
– «Automation of production processes»
– «Heat-power engineering»
– «Information systems and technologies»
– «Mechanical Engineering Technology»

There are more than 50 teachers, including: 5 doctors of sciences, 6 professors, more than 50% of teachers have academic degrees and titles.

There are specialities demanded by the labour market at the faculty: IT sector - information systems and technologies, automation of technological processes and productions; engineering – 3D-technology for product manufacturing, engineering technology, metal–cutting machines and tools, as well as energy - thermal power engineering and heat engineering.

The material and technical basis of the faculty provides good opportunities for the educational process and scientific research. More than 20 research laboratories are assigned to the departments of the Faculty: «Mechatronics and Automation», «Multimedia Technologies», «CNC Machine Tools», «Abrasive Machining of Metals», «3D Technologies», «Thermal engineering and Power Supply», «Heating Systems», etc., 5 computer labs.

Our graduates work in many branches of economy: IT-sector, in the sphere of information security; in the sphere of production and maintenance of automation means; large machine-building enterprises;       engineering companies; enterprises of energy sector.

The Faculty of Information Technologies and Robotics also provides training in the specialities of advanced higher education - Master's Degree: Information Management Systems, Automation, Innovative Technologies in Mechanical Engineering.

The main scientific work areas of the departments of the Faculty correspond to the priority strands of scientific and technical activity in the Republic of Belarus and the profile of specialist training, include fundamental and applied research:

– quality assurance of materials and products of light industry;
– automated information and management systems;
– development of computer technology in the manufacture of leather and textile products;
– studies of heat-and-mass transfer and drying processes;
– research and development of fire-resistant materials;
– research and development of methods and tools of 3D modeling;
– research and development of additive technologies;
– research in the field of designing technological processes, tools, tool set and technological equipment in mechanical engineering.

Currently the Department of Automation of Production Processes is a structural unit that has training, scientific and methodological environment for specialists.

The main scientific areas of the department's work are the development of methods and tools for automating technological processes and quality assessment systems.

The graduate's field of professional activity is related to automated control systems, research of technological processes using automation tools, engineering, implementation and maintenance of instrument automation and automated control systems in industry, development of automated information systems in production.

The laboratories of the department are equipped with modern educational equipment: stands for automation of technological processes, an automatic electric drive, and an automatic measuring complex.

Graduates of the department are assigned to light industry enterprises, industrial enterprises of the electronic complex, instrument and mechanical engineering, light and other industries, engineering, research and other organizations working in the field of automation, robotics, mechatronics and computerization.
