First stage of higher education (Specialist Degree)
The organization of the educational process at the first stage of higher education involves a set of measures aimed at training specialists with fundamental and specialized knowledge, skills, and competencies. Upon completion, graduates are awarded a Specialist Degree (higher education qualification) and receive their educational credentials.
At the first stage of higher education, two types of programs are offered:
- a full-length higher education program leading to a Specialist Degree (complete higher education qualification)
- an abridged higher education program integrated with secondary specialized education programs, also culminating in a Specialist Degree.
A first-stage higher education degree (Specialist Degree) entitles the holder to: pursue education at the second stage of higher education (Master’s level), and seek employment in their field of specialization (or subfield) according to the awarded qualification.

Submission of Applications for Admission to Master's Programs at VSTU by Foreign Nationals
The admission committee accepts documents from foreign applicants within the following deadlines:
- Group 1 Foreign Applicants (foreign nationals applying for state-funded or fee-paying education under international agreements of the Republic of Belarus) must submit documents by July 31.
- Group 2 Foreign Applicants (foreign nationals applying for fee-paying education based on either: final assessment results from preparatory programs for university admission, or first-cycle higher education qualifications with additional paid interviews in academic disciplines, provided they possess the required language proficiency) must submit documents by August 25.
- Group 3 Foreign Applicants (foreign nationals applying for fee-paying education based on: a language proficiency interview confirming their command of the medium of instruction meets the requirements for second-cycle higher education programs, and additional fee-based interviews in relevant academic disciplines) must submit documents by November 10.
- Group 4 Foreign Applicants (foreign nationals and stateless persons permanently residing outside the Republic of Belarus who are applying for: state-funded places at Vitebsk State Technological University (VSTU) second-cycle higher education programs under government-granted tuition coverage) must submit documents by July 31.

- The Academic Council's recommendation letter must substantively include:
- Title of the applicant's bachelor's/master's thesis;
- Participation in peer-reviewed conferences and Attendance at methodological seminars or research schools;
- Publications in indexed journals, Patents, Competitive grants/fellowships received;
- Supplementary Evidence of Research Competence.
Commencement of Postgraduate Studies
The academic year for postgraduate programs begins on November 1 of the current year.
- Admission Requirements for the External Research Degree Program
- Admission to postgraduate studies in the form of external research degree mode for passing candidate examinations and proficiency assessments in general education disciplines:
- Document submission period: September 1 to September 30.
- Requirement: higher education diploma.
- Documents required for admission as an external research candidate:
- - Application letter addressed to the University Rector;
- - Personnel record sheet with photograph;
- - Autobiography;
- - Medical certificate;
- - Passport copy;
- - Copy of higher education diploma;
- - Copy of academic transcript.
- Entrance Exam and Interview
- Interview from October 1 to October 10. It assesses:
- - published scientific works;
- - the tendency to scientific research;
- - possible scientific adviser.
- Entrance Exam is from October 10 to October 20.
- Special subject examination for full-time or part-time students.
- For those entering the form of application - defense of the thesis topic.
- Registration for Postgraduate
- The registration is made on a competitive basis according to the following criteria:
- 1. The Results of entry exam,
- 2. The Assessment of candidate examinations and tests,
- 3. Scientific achievements,
- 4. The conclusion of profiling department.
- The following have priority when enrolling:
- Laureates of the special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus, individuals with scientific publications in relevant publications, Holders of diplomas with distinction, Individuals with work experience in the field of specialization.
Admission to postgraduate study is issued by the order of the rector on the basis of the decision of Admission Committee. The course begins on November 1.

Information on Doctoral Studies
- The doctoral studies at EI «VSTU» were established in 2003 in the specialty:
- 05.19.02 Technology and primary processing of textile materials and raw materials.
- In 2023, a doctoral program was opened at EI«VSTU» in the specialty:
- 08.00.05 Economics and management of the public economy (by sectors).
Applicants for the doctoral program at EI«VSTU» must hold a Candidate of Sciences degree and be authors of scientific articles as well as other materials resulting from scientific research (monographs, materials related to intellectual property objects registered in accordance with established procedures, materials and/or abstracts of reports presented at conferences, reports on completed research and developments, acts (certificates) of their use confirming participation in state scientific research programs, scientific and technical programs, and innovative projects in priority areas of scientific research or priority areas of scientific and technical activities), which form the basis for the doctoral dissertation with the possibility of completion within three years.
Admission to doctoral studies is carried out on a competitive basis from October 1 to October 31.
Applicants for the doctoral program submit an application addressed to the head of the postgraduate education institution, along with documents according to the list defined by the Ministry of Education. The applicant entering the doctoral program must present a scientific report at the department of EI «VSTU» that corresponds to their research profile, summarizing the results of the scientific research on the topic of the proposed thesis and its completion time is justified.
Doctoral studies begin on November 1.

Type of additional education aimed at developing professional and personal skills and abilities. It is carried out in an active and complex form in a short time. Upon completion of training, a Certificate of Training under the educational program is issued.
Internships for managers and specialists
