The dean of the faculty:


The mechanical-technological faculty is one of the leading faculties at the University. 1969 is considered to be the year of its foundation. More than 600 students are trained at this faculty.

Specialities

From 2013 there will be a new speciality 40 01 02 «Information Systems and Technologies» (qualification - Software Engineer) of specialization: 40 01 2.1 «Information Systems and Technologies» (in design and manufacturing).

There are 70 teachers, including 4 PhD, 8 professors, 30 lecturers who have PhD degree and academic ranks of assistant professor at the faculty.

Students have the opportunity to get practical skills of using computer technologies in the professional field in the computer class, equipped with modern computers.

The graduates of this faculty work in the departments of the chief-technologist, chief-constructor, chief-mechanic, in the departments of design and technological project of enterprises and firms, scientific laboratories and institutions.

Scientific researches of the teachers of this faculty are directed to:

  • creation of modern technologies and equipment of machine-building complex;
  • creation of modern technologies and equipment for heating and energy saving;
  • creation of modern machines, semi-automatic and automatic machines of light industry with microprocessor control;
  • creation of modern technologies and equipment for automation of technological processes and production;
  • creation of modern technologies and equipment for producing articles by methods of powder metallurgy from compositional materials.
